Hey, I’m Mareike.
My artistic journey began with graphics and photography that found their way into homes around the world as posters. Through this work, I had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned international companies, and my images were featured in leading interior magazines such as ELLE Decoration, VTwonen, and Schöner Wohnen.
While this global reach shaped my early career, my artistic focus has since evolved. Today, I dedicate my practice to abstract painting on large-scale canvases. My work has been presented in successful exhibitions, marking an important step from reproducible prints to singular, original artworks.
What I value most about this evolution is the creation of something truly unique. My paintings carry texture, depth, and the visible traces of handcraft. In a time increasingly shaped by digital production and AI-generated imagery, I believe in the power of materiality, authenticity, and the human touch. Each piece is an original — shaped by process, gesture, and presence.
