Zwischen Bildern und Begegnungen / Between artworks and encounters
English translation belowEs ist Mitte Februar und bei unserer Gruppenausstellung im ESNZ Showroom in Bad Nauheim ist schon fast die letzte Woche angebrochen. Nach einer sehr gut besuchten Vernissage am 31. Januar ist es in der Galerie zwar etwas ruhiger geworden, doch noch immer finden Interessierte den Weg in unsere Ausstellung in der Alicestraße 13.
Ich genieße die Zeit in diesen wunderschönen Räumen sehr – hier darf meine Kunst noch ein kleines bisschen mehr strahlen. Besonders liebe ich meine „Dienste“ vor Ort (freitags von 14–18 Uhr). Dann sitze ich gespannt hinter der Theke und bin neugierig, wer wohl als Nächstes durch die Tür kommt. Es sind vertraute Gesichter dabei, aber auch Menschen, die beispielsweise durch den Zeitungsartikel auf die Ausstellung aufmerksam geworden sind oder ganz zufällig vorbei schlendern – und dann den Schritt in die Galerie wagen.
Eine besonders schöne Begegnung hatte ich sogar außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten. Ich war gerade dabei, meine Bilder zu fotografieren, als zwei junge Frauen vor dem Schaufenster stehen blieben. Sie betrachteten meine Arbeiten mit sichtlicher Faszination. Spontan fragte ich sie, ob sie hereinkommen möchten. Nach einem schüchternen Nicken entwickelte sich drinnen ein überraschend offenes und herzliches Gespräch. Die beiden erzählten mir, dass sie selbst kreativ sind, malen und fotografieren – und dass sie meine ehemalige Schule besuchen.
Das hat mich sehr berührt. Vielleicht, weil ich mich ein Stück weit in ihnen wiedererkannt habe. Ich hoffe, ich konnte ihnen Mut machen, ihren kreativen Weg weiterzugehen – unabhängig davon, was andere sagen oder erwarten. Denn genau darum geht es doch: der eigenen Begeisterung zu folgen und ihr Raum zu geben.
Und vielleicht sind es genau diese Begegnungen, die eine Ausstellung für mich so besonders machen – nicht nur die Bilder an den Wänden, sondern die Gespräche, die Gedanken und die kleinen Verbindungen, die daraus entstehen.
Herzliche Einladung: Am letzten Tag der Ausstellung, Samstag, den 28. Februar, findet eine Finissage statt - von 11-14 Uhr mit leckerem Kaffee von Craeft Studio und Live Musik.

It's mid-February, and our group exhibition at the ESNZ Showroom in Bad Nauheim is almost over. After a very well-attended opening on January 31st, things have quieted down a bit in the gallery, but people are still finding their way to our exhibition at Alicestraße 13.
I'm really enjoying my time in these beautiful rooms – my art can shine even brighter here. I especially love my shifts there (Fridays from 2 to 6 pm). I sit behind the counter, eager to see who will walk through the door next. There are familiar faces, but also people who, for example, learned about the exhibition through the newspaper article or who just happen to be strolling by – and then take the plunge and enter the gallery.
I even had a particularly lovely encounter outside of opening hours. I was photographing my pictures when two young women stopped in front of the window. They were looking at my work with obvious fascination. I spontaneously asked them if they'd like to come in. After a shy nod, a surprisingly open and warm conversation developed inside. The two of them told me that they were creative themselves, painting and photography – and that they attended my former school.
That touched me deeply. Perhaps because I saw a bit of myself in them. I hope I was able to encourage them to continue on their creative path – regardless of what others say or expect. Because that's precisely what it's all about: following your own passion and giving it space.
And perhaps it's precisely these encounters that make an exhibition so special for me – not just the pictures on the walls, but the conversations, the thoughts, and the small connections that arise from them.
A warm invitation: On the last day of the exhibition, Saturday, February 28th, there will be a closing reception – from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with delicious coffee from Craeft Studio and live music.
