Newsletter #9 - A new chapter
A new phase has begun for me in recent weeks: I celebrated the opening of our showroom together with fashion designer Claire Nungesser.
It already feels like this space is doing exactly what we had hoped. During the two wonderful opening days and the three-plus weeks that followed, there have been many lovely encounters and conversations. New people have discovered my art, others have returned, and—almost in passing—initial ideas and new projects have emerged. It is beautiful to see the space slowly take on a life of its own.
My own work has also been inspired by the new space. I created two new paintings with this location in mind. I was delighted by the many positive reactions, especially to the piece "In The Distance."
Things are happening outside the showroom, too: two of my works have found new homes, and I am currently painting a great deal. I’ve noticed that I’m drawn to warmer colors than usual—sand tones, warm blush pink, and deep Bordeaux keep appearing. Perhaps it’s the autumn season, slowly knocking at the door and quietly making its way into my work as well.
The new season also brings some exciting upcoming events: my work will soon take me to Stockholm, Munich, and London. In between, I look forward to seeing what other encounters, ideas, and perhaps unexpected surprises our showroom has in store.
Perhaps I’ll see you there.
