Hello Newsletter #1
Hi there!
It may have been a while, but you signed up for my newsletter—perhaps at my opening in June, or maybe on my website... thank you for that!
And now the time has come: I'm finally launching my newsletter. I have to admit, it took some time, but from now on, I'll be posting here once a month about what's been happening in my life, what projects I'm currently working on or have completed, and what I'm currently working on.
In this first newsletter, I'll take a look back at what's happened since my first exhibition in June. Presenting my original artwork for the first time in such a beautiful place as the ESNZ Showroom in Bad Nauheim was a very special experience for me. An entire room filled with my art—surrounded by people who came specifically for that reason. I had many lovely conversations and made some new contacts that continue to motivate and support me in the months that followed. I was especially pleased that some of the paintings from the exhibition have since found new homes. You can find the works that are still available—along with some new pieces—on my website, right here.
Just 14 days after the exhibition, my family and I embarked on a four-week campervan trip to Scandinavia. We traveled through Denmark and Sweden before heading to the Lofoten Islands in Norway. It was a truly special experience, which I captured in over 4,500 photos :) Some of these have already found their way into some of my poster shops (e.g., JUNIQE) as wall art, while others are now available as a 2026 calendar (see also my other calendars for 2026 in this blog post).
I spent late summer and autumn painting, hanging test pieces, taking photos for the city of Bad Nauheim, and working on my new collection of exclusive prints, which are only available in my shop…
A particular highlight, however, was my participation with three paintings in the New & Abstract group exhibition in Berlin in October – I wrote this blog post about it.
And now? Christmas is just around the corner, and I have some exciting events coming up: Starting November 29th, I'll be offering new Bad Nauheim calendars for 2026 at Atelier 6zehn, run by fashion designer Claire Nungesser, located on Burgallee in Bad Nauheim. The fantastic feedback I received last year's calendars showed me they were a wonderful Christmas gift for many. You can purchase the calendars at Claire's studio during her regular opening hours until Christmas – but be warned: they're very limited again!
On the last weekend of Advent, I'll (most likely) be participating in an art Christmas market in Frankfurt's Nordend district. Unfortunately, I can't share any details yet, but I'll keep you updated on Instagram.
I welcome your feedback, ideas, or questions about the newsletter, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Warmly, Mareike
