“Lines Between Layers” is the first larger painting in which I experimented with sand as a textural element. I loved the way it transformed the surface, creating a natural, tactile quality and adding depth to the layers of the painting. The sandy tones in the background are complemented by soft, beige scribble elements, which I created with an oil stick. Their loose, expressive lines add a subtle contrast to the more structured layers beneath.
The result is a calm and minimalistic artwork with a warm, natural feel. I love how the different textures and layers come together, creating a piece that feels both quiet and full of movement.
