My abstract painting “Transition” explores the relationship between structure and flow through layered color fields and dripping textures. Shades of deep blue, pale sky tones, white, and black interact across the canvas, creating a sense of balance between calm order and organic movement. Vertical drips introduce gravity and motion, while overlapping rectangular forms connect visually, suggesting dialogue between separate spaces.
Created layer by layer, the surface reveals depth and materiality through the use of acrylic and sand on canvas, resulting in a subtle textured finish. The colors blend and bleed into one another in places, while defined edges in others create contrast between softness and precision.
