Newsletter #6
This time, I’m checking in a little later than planned. I had actually intended to write to you all before setting off for Munich to attend ARTMUC—my very first art fair. But, as is often the case, things turned out differently. Now I’m sitting here; the trunk has long since been emptied, and all my supplies have been stowed away.
My mind, however, is still sorting through the many impressions, conversations, and emotions that accumulated over those three days—it’s not often you experience something like that in a single weekend. You can find my detailed report on the art fair—and everything that went with it—in this blog post.
A few of the pieces that haven't yet found new owners are now available to view on my website (you can get a little sneak peek below). Among them is a new blue painting that was, by far, the biggest draw at my booth. The first pieces from my mini-collection are also now available—small, exquisite originals measuring 30 × 40 cm. They pair beautifully together and received incredibly lovely feedback at the fair, which I was absolutely delighted to receive.
Just before the fair, I also received some wonderful news from Sweden: I was nominated as "Graphic Artist of the Year"—one of six artists in the running—for the "Desenio Art Award."
I would be absolutely thrilled if you voted for me, thereby giving me the chance to travel to Stockholm in October for the awards ceremony. You can cast your vote here. Thank you!
Now, for me, it’s time to process my impressions, plan my next steps, and tackle all the tasks that piled up before the fair. And in my next newsletter, I might just be able to share a piece of news with you that will bring about some significant changes—and open up new opportunities—in the coming months.
Curious? Mission accomplished. :)
See you soon, Mareike
