Newsletter #3 - A group exhibition, an application and some wishes
A new year has arrived – and this is the first newsletter of 2026 (I still need to get used to that number).
What's happened since mid-December? Christmas and New Year's, of course – and a short vacation in the Netherlands in wintry temperatures. This time was intentionally quieter, and work took a bit of a backseat. But since the end of the winter holidays, everyday life has picked up speed again, and faster than I'd like. There's hardly been time for in-depth reflection or New Year's resolutions, but I've tried to summarize them in a short blog post (English translation below the German text).
One reason for this, however, is a very pleasant one: I'm in the midst of preparations for a group exhibition that will soon take place at the ESNZ in Bad Nauheim. In February, I'll be exhibiting there together with other artists, and the opening reception will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m., to which I cordially invite you.
I've compiled further information about the participating artists and the exhibition here on my blog.
Besides preparing for the exhibition, I'm currently working on a summer collection for Textilwerk in very wintry temperatures. This company from Emsdetten near Münster has been one of my favorite partners for many years. They produce high-quality home textiles made to order, with designs created in close collaboration with numerous artists. You can find my collection here.
And what else? The coming weeks will also bring a bit of excitement. New works will be on display in the exhibition in Bad Nauheim, and I've also submitted an application recently, which I'm eagerly anticipating: For the first time, I've taken the plunge and applied to participate in an art fair – hoping to introduce my art to even more people in a personal setting. In February, I'll find out if I can participate in the event in May. If I'm accepted, I'll share the details here soon. If not, I'll just pretend nothing ever happened ;)
Talk to you soon!
